Samsung had once again introduced a new Android smartphone that will surely be a tough competitor for other high-end handsets in the market to date. The Xcover, which is the latest installment in the Galaxy series, possesses some unique features that are not present in other smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover is a rugged device that is resistant to dirt, shock, and can even be submerged into a deep water for over 30 minutes.
Being the “toughest” phone to arrive in the market soon, the IP67-certified Galaxy Xcover highlights all the modern functions that every gadget lovers need. Its touch screen is embellished with Gorilla Glass display, preventing the screen from any scratches or scrapes. The phone’s overall design was indeed simple yet stunning, especially with its three easy-to-use buttons.

The manufacturer hasn’t announced the official retail pricing for Samsung Galaxy Xcover yet. However, some reports have claimed that the upcoming Android smartphone will be available for approximately 14,000-15,000 in India, 21,000 in Pakistan markets, and $247 in United States.
Introduced last August 10, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover is slated to be released on October 3, 2011. The countries where the smartphone will first be available includes Germany, UK, US, and Canada.
