T-Mobile’s BlackBerry Bold 9900, Costs $300
T-Mobile confirmed that they will have the BlackBerry Bold 9900 for $300.
T-Mobile chose midnight to price and date their BlackBerry Bold 9900 version. The BlackBerry 7 hardware will arrive to shops on August 31. For unclear reasons, the said version of the phone will cost higher than the AT&T, Sprint or Verizon versions. It will be on $300 on contract even after a $50 rebate.
The T-Mobile’s version should be similar to those of other networks other than the requisite change over its native bands, 14.4Mbps 3G. Its capabilities – such as Wi-Fi calling – aren’t expected to be available immediately, and it’s not clear if the personal hotspot creation will be an option.
The Bold 9900 is said to be RIM’s flagship of the year, with a mix of a 2.8-inch, 640 x 480 touchscreen and a distinctive, large QWERTY keyboard. The 1.2GHz Snapdragon, that goes along with 768MB of RAM and BlackBerry 7, are key to a major improvement in speed. Slimming down versus earlier Bolds drops autofocus from the 5 megapixel camera, but is returned by 720p movie recording. About 8GB of storage is built-in, even if 188MB is available purely for apps.View Article Source »
