Archos to Launch Two G9 Android 3.2 Tablets this Month

Archos just announced that its G9 Android tablets will begin hitting the store shelves later this month.

is now set to release two 3.2 computer tablets this September: An 8-inch and 10-inch screen variants of the device. Both tablets will be available for pre-selling beginning September 20, 2011.

The 8-inch G9 , also known as the , will feature a 1024×768 resolution display, an 8GB flash storage, and will be powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 dual-core processor. The 10-inch , on the other hand, comes with a 1280×800 screen resolution, 1.5GHz OMAP 4 dual-core processors, and a whopping 16GB of storage. The two tablets are expected to be somewhat bulky and heavy — the has a thickness of 0.46 inches and a weight of 17 ounces, while the Archos 101 gets a measurement of 0.5 inches and 1.5 pounds.

Moreover, the Archos G9 variants will also be sporting a USB port that is capable of accommodating an stick for data networking. The tablets are WiFi-capable too! Both models will feature a front-facing camera that could record 720p videos, 250GB hard drives, and batteries that could support 10 hours of Internet browsing and 7 hours of video playing.

The 8GB Archos 80 costs $299, while 250GB HDD variant will be priced at $369. The 250GB HDD Archos 101, meanwhile, could be yours for $469.
