Walmart Canada offers Gears of War 3: Epic Edition for only $59.99... Not!

Last Sunday, GeekRevolt reported that Wallmart Canada is offering the Gears of War 3 Regular, Limited and Epic Edition for only $59.99 a piece. This offering is in relation with the retailer’s Anniversary Celebration. However, the site immediately posted Correction Notices with regards to its price.

The correct pricing for Gears of War 3 is as follows.
These prices are in effect as of September 20, 2011:

Regular Edition (#30187519) 59.83
Limited Edition (#30187515/6) 79.83
Epic Edition (#30187517/8) 149.83

The price change will take effect on September 20, while the promo for Gears of War 3 will run on that day until the 22nd.

I’ll still get it the Epic Edition for 59.99$ Anyways. They have to give it to me even though it has the correction on the computer.

  Hey by chance do you have a receipt for this game at this price. The reason I ask is so I might PM between walmart stores since they didn’t honor that price for me. I have the Epic edition for full price sitting here unopened until I can resolve this.

    3 other guys and myself got lucky at the Walmart in Namur station(Montreal), we all fought about the price and they didnt have a choice but to give the all editions at that price (obviously only to us that were the first costumers), they handed 4 epic editions, and 5 limited editions at $56 total (taxes included) cause the girl ended up making another mistake and charged it at $49.99 instead of $59.99 obviously nobody said anything cause they made us argue with them for almost 45 mins until they realized they actually made the mistake in the flyer and indeed it said all editions at 59.99 … =)
