Flipboard Re-engineered to be iPhone Compatible

Flipboard launches its iPhone counterpart on Wednesday.
It first became popular as a newsreading app for the iPad and now, Flipboard will be launched as a new app for iPhone.
The app supply feeds from several news sources as well as social networks in a format of a magazine. This format was re-engineered to suit the interface of iPhone. This was done without putting into sacrifice “the notion of bringing beauty to these posts,” which was quoted by Flipboard CEO Mike McCue.
The iPhone format has the signature tile format stacked in a single file. Users can also mark the news which attracted their interests and save them for later reading.
One of the features that is unique to Flipboard for iPhone is the Cover Stories. This tool gathers stories that are relevant to you and your closest contacts. This tool works with the help of Flipboard’s algorithms.
Is the Android version the next step for Flipboard? McCue said the company has plans to expand to other platforms but it will require them a level of thinking similar to what they used in creating the iPhone app.
