Instagram Will Soon Be Available in Android Phones

The popular photo sharing app in iPhone’s, Instagram, will soon have its android version.

This new project will be a lucrative move for the company because their membership base will definitely expand.

Kevin Systrom, CEO of Instagram said at LeWeb in Paris:

“We have two people working on Android now. I’m excited to be able to see our numbers today nearly double.”

“Obviously, we didn’t start a business to not make money. Our focus now is on growing the network. You really need to build up the network, or no advertisers care.”

There is no definite timeline and additional information available on the new android app because the company is focused in increasing its number of users. Systrom also announced their plans to include ads to their free app.

As of today, Instagram’s biggest change is its release of the Instagram 2.0. It was introduced last September and the new features are: Live filters, Instant tilt-shift, High-resolution photos, One-click rotation and Optional Borders.

This is good news to android phone users who have wanted to use this fun app for the longest time.
