Apple Submits Patent Applications for Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Are iOS devices going to be powered by hydrogen fuel cells?
Based on the patent applications published by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Apple has plans to created hydrogen cells to power their devices.
If these plans are achieved, computers and phones can function for a week long without the need to be recharged. It will also make devices less bulky.
Hydrogen fuel cells function by transforming hydrogen and oxygen into water and electrical energy. The same technology already has been used by car companies and the military.
“Our country’s continuing reliance on fossil fuels has forced our government to maintain complicated political and military relationships with unstable governments in the Middle East, and has also exposed our coastlines and our citizens to the associated hazards of offshore drilling. These problems have led to an increasing awareness and desire on the part of consumers to promote and use renewable energy sources,” as mentioned in the patent papers.
