Car Seat Developed to Prevent Car Theft
Anti-theft Car Seat technology developed in Japan
An anti-theft car seat concept has been developed by researchers from the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology in Tokyo. This new technology contains 360 sensors that measures how much pressure a person places on the car seat. A personalized profile can be derived for the vehicle driver. If a particular profile does not match the authorized vehicle driver, the car can’t be driven away.
An experiment has already been conducted and this innovation has reached a 98% accuracy. The makers hope that this car seat technology will be available in the market in the next two to three years. The researchers plan to use this seat concept for security identification in offices where once an authorized user takes a seat the computer can be unlocked.View Article Source »
