BMW Concept Features a Dedicated Space for Fold-away Bikes
BMW i3 concept car has two fold-up i Pedelec bikes hidden it its trunk
This concept car also features a dedicated space for two fold-up i Pedelec bikes, hidden in the car’s trunk. These bikes are electrically-assisted and can easily be charged via electric socket inside car, at home or office.
It’s 350Wh battery provides a battery range up to 33 miles. It can run a maximum speed of 15.5mph, with its 200W motor power. It also showcases hydraulic disc breaks, a quick and easy folding mechanism, that makes this lightweight bike rollable and steerable when folded.
BMW is set to engage a public demonstration of their all-electric technology over the next six months around Europe, Southeast Asia and the U.S. They are also set to provide their new plug-in BMW vehicles to the athletes and staff at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
