Robot Restaurant Opens in China
China's robotic restaurant, makes use of robot cooks and waiters
China’s Harbin Haohai Robot Company has opened a robot-friendly restaurant in Heilongjiang Province, that makes use of 18 different kinds of robots that does all kinds of jobs.
These robots do kind all of jobs from serving food, to cooking, greeting and ushering guests.
As you enter the restaurant a robot will greet you, extend its right arm and say: “Earth Person, Hello, Welcome to the Robot Restaurant.” It is also capable of making 10 different facial expressions and is able to speak in simple Chinese.
The robots can also cook your food. Dumpling-making robots, noodle experts and even robot chefs can create you a sumptious meal. If that is not impressive enough, a singing robot will entertain their guests as they wait for their order or while eating.
The Harbin Haohai Robot Company invested around 5 million yuan ($790,000) in the restaurant, with each robot costing 200,000 to 300,000 yuan ($31,500 – $47,000).
Dining in the restaurant is very affordable, it will cost their customers between $6 and $10 per meal.View Article Source »
