Odor Menu Lets Blind People Order Food By Smelling Food Scents
Odor Menu is a braille menu that also provides the scent of food dishes
Ordering food in a restaurant is hard to do when you are blind. You can’t see what you are ordering and establishments don’t have a special menu specifically made for blind people. Luckily, two Asian designers have come up with a menu that makes it convenient for visually impaired individuals to order food.
The Odor Menu is a small device that replaces the typical restaurant menu. It features an EAP (Electric Active Plastic) that displays each dish name in Braille.
All you have to do is press the button and the device releases the smell of a specific meal listed on the menu. The menu’s odor outlet is found at the base. Left and raised arrow buttons allow the customer to easily browse through the menu options.
The visually paired can now enjoy their dining experience with the help of this unique device.View Article Source »
