Video Software Detects If a Person is Drunk

Drunk Person identification software uses thermal imaging technology to scan temperature of your nose and forehead
Drunk people can now easily be detected with the help of a video software that is currently being developed by researchers, Georgia Koukiou and Vassilis Anastassopoulos, from the University of Patras in Greece.
Koukiou and Anastassopoulos have incorporated thermal imaging technology with their Drunk Person identification software. It scans a person’s face, concentrating on the forehead and nose, checking the temperature and detecting any changes in skin color.
Based on a study, when a person is intoxicated with alcohol, the blood vessels beneath the skin dilates, causing the skin color to change. The forehead stays cool while the nose gets hot.
The Greek researchers believe that their software is reliable when it comes to detecting drunk people.
