Mobile App Alert Friends After An Earthquake Transpires

Earthquakes are one of the most terrifying natural disasters that can ever take place in earth. It takes us all in surprise and leaves us feeling vulnerable and helpless.

Fortunately, a company has created a mobile app, called Earthquake Buddy. This app helps save the lives of earthquake victims by sending location alerts to friends.

You can add up to four friends and their contact details. Once an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 or higher strikes, the app automatically sends a notification email to those four people, showing your exact position on a Google map. Your buddies may contact emergency services if you are missing or find you themselves.

It can also send text messages, post a Facebook status, tweet your location details. The app also provides tips that will be helpful in case an earthquake takes place.
