Airline Passengers Get Their Drinks Served by a Robot Bartender [Video]

Air Eltec has developed a Robot Bartender, to reduce staff costs and improve efficiency for Airlines. The “Skytender” features a high-tech drink cart that features 30 different drinks.

This robot bartender is able to serve various drinks like soft drinks, coffee, cocktails, and wine, with just a touch of a button.

The SkyTender is a bartender and trolley in one. It can be upgraded to an automated machine that contains an installation of modular drink cartridges and CO2 cylinder. It makes use of an RFID system. Each stocked trolley can offer up to 290 drink servings.

The Skytender was first introduced in the German airline, WDL Aviation, serving drinks on a flight from Germany to Spain.
