Nissan announces the Scratch Shield, a 'self-healing' iPhone case that promises to keep your valuable iOS smartphones blemish free.

Nissan Scratch Shield is a first of its kind iPhone case that uses the same innovation used on its self-healing automotive paint. It features a polyrotaxene based finish which has a chemical structure that reacts to change by restoring itself to its original form.

Nissan has already licensed the material to Japanese mobile carrier NTT DoCoMo and is planning to launch it commercially later this year.
