Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Banned from Sale in European Union

Apple was granted a preliminary injunction, preventing Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 from being sold in Europe.

Samsung seems to be facing some troubles with regards to its newly launched tablet. Recently, the Regional Court of Dusseldorf in Germany allowed Apple to file a preliminary injunction against Samsung, barring it from selling and promoting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in any European countries except for The Netherlands.

As affirmed by the court, Apple claims that Samsung’s tablet breached their patents and even copied most parts of the iPad 2.

Although Samsung could appeal on this ruling, it would take them at least four weeks before they can do so.

Samsung Introduced Their New Accessories for Galaxy Tab 10.1

After releasing their Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, Samsung introduced several new accessories for their new tablet.

Samsung introduced several accessories that is developed to support the company’s new Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. Users of the Galaxy Tab can now choose from several docking options that includes a multimedia dock and a keyboard dock. Samsung also offers three different cases, a HDMI adapter, a travel charger, car charger, stylus, Bluetooth keyboard and even a SD card adapter.

The multimedia dock is attached to the Tab in a landscape view. It enables users to view video, pictures and contents. A 3.5mm jack is also provided for audio output, but users still have to buy and connect the company’s HDMI adapter for video pass through. There is also a second option where users have to integrate a keyboard with hotkeys for fast and easy access to Android features.

Samsung Ships the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Android 3.1

Original plan was scrapped! No Honeycomb for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It now carries the Android 3.1.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will now carry the updated Android 3.1 operating system, which change was already made on its product page. In addition to this, a representative from Samsung Mobile confirmed the new version in a comment.

Integration of the updated Android 3.1 operating system means that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will have a support for Google’s Android movie rental service, USB-connected peripherals, resizable widgets and Flash Player 10.2 support.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Spotted in FCC Under GT-P7510 Moniker

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a go!

It looks like there’ll be no stopping the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 as the tablet hits the FCC. Don’t confuse this one with the thicker 10.1v tablet that’s slowly being distributed across Europe and Australia. As proof, the older Honeycomb tablet has the monicker GT-P7100, while the 10.1 version has the codename GT-P7510, though for the WiFi version only.

It still remains a mystery on what the 1GHz dual-core CPU inside the razor-thin Galaxy tablet is. But with the release of the FCC application, it won’t be long before it is unveiled.
