From AMD Radeon HD 5970 to AMD Radeon HD 6990. There's a new speed-demon that's ruling the roads of the graphic card highway.

AMD is showing no signs of slowing down. Even though their Radeon HD 5970 holds the title for the world’s fastest graphics card, here they are at it again as they dethrone their own brood with the AMD Radeon HD 6990 (Antilles), a speed-demon packed with massive features including a 4GB of GDDR5 and an 830MHz core clock speed. And with a dual-BIOS to boot, you can rev up the clock speed up to 880MHz, which in turn raises your electricity bills to a whole new level.

Despite being the fastest, crictics don’t particularly revere the AMD Radeon HD 6990 due to its power consumption (375W TDP), the noise it emits while running, plus the ridiculous price tag of $699. There’s also the bane of the practicality of the card as most games, even at high settings, don’t particularly need that much graphic fire power.

Hit the break to check the complete specs of the AMD Radeon HD 6990!
