Apple gave us, again, something BIG! And this iOS 4.2 will let you print files without the software installations and Wires. All with AirPrint.

Apple has announced again that their latest beta for iOS 4.2 software will let you print files via you devices. And when we say devices, it’s not your Mac PC or Mac Book. The AirPrint will allow users of iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to print wireless-ly over Wi-Fi without installing drivers and softwares.

“AirPrint is Apple’s powerful new printing architecture that matches the simplicity of iOS—no set up, no configuration, no printer drivers and no software to download,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users can simply tap to print their documents or photos wirelessly to an HP ePrint printer or to a printer shared on a Mac or PC.”

Eventhough the software is currently available for Apple’s iOS develop program, Apple announces that iOS 4.2 will be ready for grabbing this November. The first devices on support for AirPrint is HP’s ePrint enabled printers.

“We’re pleased to work with Apple to bring Apple’s AirPrint to our fall lineup of ePrint printers in time for the holiday shopping season,” said Vyomesh Joshi, HP executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group. “Making it easy for our customers to print anytime, anywhere, is a key priority for HP. iPad, iPhone and iPod touch customers are going to love how easy it is to print using our new range of ePrint printers, creating high-quality printed pages in an instant.”
AirPrint is said to have full support on a full range print functions through the iOS, including the page range selection as well as the single-sided and double-sided printing. It will also feature a Print Center that will coordinate on your printer queue so you can track the progress across the office.
We can’t wait for this to happen.
