Apple TV Out, iTV In

Written on August 12, 2010 by R. Cruise

Steve Jobs and his colleagues decided to stick with iTV, 720p clips and apps.

We’ll give you a recap: a few months ago, tech website Engadget spilled the news that an Apple TV is coming to the market. It’s a $99 set top box with features similar to iPhone4 and a fresh iTunes streaming service. There’s a new update about it but it’s not-so good.

It was reported that the box won’t handle 1080i or 1080p video instead just 720p clips. Moreover, the device will be infused with apps and its own App Store entry. But, it’s still unclear on what the product has to offer.

The biggest catch, however, is Apple TV is changing its moniker to iTV. It’s just like going back to its old name since it is what was called before.

Whatever the Apple TV er, iTV’s path heading to, all we can do for now is wait for its revelation sometime in the Fall.
