Verizon will ship in the Droid Bionic on September 8 with a $300 price tag.

The Motorola Droid Bionic might become very expensive when Verizon ship it in. A leaked internal note has the minimum advertised price of $300 on contract, or as much as the Droid Charge. Android Central’s copy also penned in a release date which is on September 8.

The pricing made it the most expensive phone in history of Verizon, and could put it out of contention when it goes head to head with the iPhone 5 — which is said to be release a few weeks later. Apple might start off the iPhone 5 along with a $199 price tag. Motorola, like others, may need to charge a premium for first generation LTE hardware. How much of that pricing is Verizon’s versus Motorola’s is still unclear.

The Droid Bionic’s new version will be the Verizon’s first dual-core 4G phone, and it will also be the first Verizon phone that will have a TI OMAP processor instead of the usual Tegra 2. It also features a 4.3 inch 540×960 screen that might make it one of the visually richer models. It might be on par in cameras with 8 megapixels at the back as well, and at least a VGA resolution camera at the front.
