BlackBerry Empathy Contacts Your Emotions

For a sponsored project held by RIM Blackberry at the Art Center College of Design, designers Kiki and Daniel had to incorporate an interface that integrates human emotions with the concept of social networking.
A sponsored project by RIM at the Art Center College of Design made way to a new BlackBerry concept. Designers Kiki and Daniel incorporates an interface that connects human emotions with social networking. As a result, the idea of BlackBerry Empathy sprung.
The phone is used together with a biometrics ring that is worn by the user to collect emotional data. The BlackBerry Empathy is a touch-based smartphone that graphically shows user connections. Each contact has an avatar that is surrounded by two colored rings. The inner ring indicates the previous emotional state of the contact, while the outer ring show the current emotional state. Another important feature of the BlackBerry Empathy is the Emotional Health Chart that monitors the user’s emotional health.
