British Airways, Testing the iPad 2 for Cabin Crew

British Airways is replacing their paper format with Apple's iPad 2, making the cabin crew's work easier.
As reported by T3, the British Airways is shifting from paper format to digital by equipping its cabin crew with tablet PCs. They are testing Apple’s iPad 2 which provides seating layout, profiles or special food requests.
The iPad 2 in trial have specialized software that displays the passenger manifest. It shows the seating layout, the place of each passenger, special dietary requirements, and live customer service update. Furthermore, the passenger information will be updated in real time — even during the flight. Apple iPad 2 also displays timetables and safety manuals, making the cabin crew’s work easier.
As of the moment, the British Airways’ project is still in trial phase with 100 staff testing the device. However, all 1,800 senior cabin crew would be getting the iPad 2 in the months to come.
