Vatican Says No to iPhone Confessions

An iPhone confession application for a Roman Catholic on the go was made and endorsed by the Catholic Church. However, the Vatican City disapproves of it.
Little iApps’ “Confession: A Roman Catholic App” has evoked disapproval of the Vatican. That is after Bishop Kevin Rhodes of the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend have granted the iPhone application an imprimatur — an official endorsement from the Catholic Church.
As pointed out by Vatican’s spokesman, Federico Lombardi:
“It is essential to understand that the rites of penance require a personal dialogue between penitents and their confessor. It cannot be replaced by a computer application.”
