Ever wonder what’s the deal behind the alternate costumes of some characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3? While some may be the developer’s way of mercilessly toying with the color palette, others tend to have a more meaningful and story-driven approach as to why such costumes exist. You might be surprised that some alternate costumes are reminiscent of classic looks rooted out from comic book history.
Chris Baker, manager of Licensed Games at Marvel Studios shared, a few thoughts about the alternate costumes of five Marvel characters, namely: Captain America, Storm, M.O.D.O.K., Dormammu, and Phoenix. In a nutshell, the alternate costumes of each of the above-mentioned characters take different facets and looks from various versions and history of their existence.
