Intel’s Six-core Core i7 Chip is On it’s Way!

There's a new processor coming in town, and more older processors in a lower price. Introducing, Intel's Core i7 970.
Intel introduced a six-core Core i7 desktop processor last Monday. Core i7-970 processor will run at 3.2 GHz and will have 12MB of L3 cache. This is the second six-core desktop chip launched by Intel after the Core i7-980X Extreme Edition.
Intel offers standard Core i7 processors for high-end desktops and Core i7 Extreme Edition for hardcore gamers. The newest six-core chip is an attempt to trickle down chips of the same kind, and fast performance from the Extreme Edition to the main Core i7 line up. It should bring a new level of performance to the group of products. The processor is priced at $885 in units of 1,000. It is made using the 32-nanometer manufacturing process, which boosts system performance.
