Hit the roads and not the hospital with Sprint's DriveFirst app.
Sprint has announced a new Android app at CTIA 2011 that makes sure people who are driving stays driving. DriveFirst, created by Location Labs, is an application that locks all of the phone functions when it senses that the vehicle is in motion. How will that happen? Well you’d best find out for yourself when it comes to your Google-powered Sprint mobile devices by the third quarter of the year. The app will cost $2-per-month, but what’s $2 when it comes to safety, right?Read the rest of the article »
From smartphones to 'superphones,' this dual-core powered LG T-Mobile G2x is set to enter the phone arena by storm this spring.
LG’s T-Mobile G2x phone with Google has been officially unveiled and it boasts to be among the first in an uprising ‘superphone segment.’ Armed with a 4G speed on America’s largest 4G network, a 1Ghz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, architecture a 4-inch touchscreen display plus preloaded apps, the T-Mobile G2x phone is poised to thunder the smartphone industry with stellar speed and performance. Too bad it only has Android 2.2 Froyo, but the hopes of having it upgraded to Gingerbread or even Honeycomb shouldn’t be singled out. The device is set for a release ‘later this spring.’

LG's all ready to jump into the tablet and smartphone wars anew, with the T-Mobile G-Slate and G2X smartphone rumored to arrive April 20th.
Unofficial T-Mobile Blog, TmoNews, reports that LG’s T-Mobile G-Slate tablet and the G2X smartphone – which is believed to be the Optimus 2X – will be making a debut on April 20th. The release date comes as a surprise considering that competitors such as Motorola and Samsung are way ahead in releasing their own latest tablet and smartphone. Is there still room for LG in the market? There have been no confirmation yet if the said date is true but expect T-Mobile to either confirm or deny the rumor at the CTIA 2011, next week.
The tablet and smartphone will feature dual-core Tegra 2 chips, while only the G-Slate will be running on Google’s latest Honeycomb software.View Article Source »
A hint of Android Gingerbread, a cup of dual-core CPU, added with a teaspoon of qHD screen; looks like HTC is cooking something big. Perhaps it's the EVO 3D?
It’s been awhile since we last heard of Sprint’s EVO 3D phone, but a GLBenchmark database report may give us a little light on the matter as it reveals a mysterious high-end phone from Taiwan, the HTC Shooter. The data unveils that the HTC phone is equipped with a 960×540 resolution qHD display and currently runs on Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread. Also known as model number PG86100, it carries an Adreno 220 GPU which will feature a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon. With this much power, could it be the EVO 3D phone or could it be something else? CTIA 2011 is coming next week, so maybe we can gather more information by then.
