Microsoft Previews the Windows 8

Microsoft finally unveils its Windows 8 OS at the D9 Conference last Wednesday.
At the D9 Conference last Wednesday, Microsoft officially unveils the forthcoming Windows 8. Optimized for the Touch UI, the new OS version has a similar interface with Windows Phone 7.
Just like WP7’s Start Menu, the Windows 8 Start Screen launches apps and displays live information. The preview also shows how a user can switch and resize Windows. The Windows 8 will also support legacy apps and application written in JavaScript and HTML5. However, it is still unknown whether ARM support for legacy apps and the Silverlight will be available.

When Windows 7 is not enough…
AllThingsD got the first glimpse of the upcoming Windows 8 Operating System during the D9 conference in California. The newest OS of Microsoft was presented by Steven Sinofsky; this OS works perfectly for tablets as well as home computers. The start screen of the Windows 8 is very similar to Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system and utilizes the Metro UI. Windows 8 features Internet Explorer 10, HTML 5 and Java applications. No words yet for the release date, but the arrival of Windows 8 is something to look forward to.
