Nintendo Officially Announces ‘Nintendo Network’

Following the announcement of a bleak quarterly report, Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata has officially announced that it will soon catch up with its competitors and launch its own online gaming network.

‘Nintendo Network’, Nintendo’s aptly-named online network, will allow users to compete and interact with other users and enjoy ‘not just game add-ons but fully downloadable retail games as well’.

Civilization 5 Gets Vikings and Explorer DLC Map Packs Next Week

Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark - The Vikings and Explorer's Map Pack DLCs are coming your way, starting May 3.

2K Games and Firaxis Games have announced that they will be bringing the next DLC packs for the award-winning game, Sid Meier’s Civilization V. Prepare for viking-mania and an epic battle around the world with The Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark – the Vikings, and Explorers Map pack.

The downloadable contents will be available starting May 3, and are priced $4.99 each or $7.49 for both.

Mortal Kombat DLC Gets Kenshi and Scarlet

Test your might one more time, because Mortal Kombat is coming with Kenshi and Scarlet in the game's first DLC.

The Mortal Kombat reboot hasn’t even been released yet, but gamers were already treated with two new characters that are set to be on the downloadable content after title’s launch. Enter the fray, Kenshi and Scarlet!

The sword-wielding warrior – Kenshi – is making another appearance, becoming one of the characters to have ever appeared in almost every single incarnation of Mortal Kombat.

Scarlet on the other hand, has a different story. The seemingly sister of Jade, Kitana and Milena was once a glitch at the original Mortal Kombat arcade game where the aforementioned three sisters came out in blood red costumes. Players thought that it was a hidden character in the game despite having the same moves of their originally chosen fighter. But according to Netherrealm’s Hans Lo, Scarlet is now for real.
