"The Bionic is a great choice for right now, the best combination of wireless and device speed that we've yet seen on Verizon." --- Engadget
The DROID BIONIC by Motorola is already here, and it’s providing a superb mixture of abilities and features that are not yet seen in other high-end smartphones. This latest Android handset is said to be designed for people who need a tool to help them control most of the aspects of their busy lives — career, social activities, and entertainment. The DROID BIONIC is the first smartphone on Verizon that is jam-packed with a dual-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity, helping you download heavy contents in remarkable speed.
It has an impressive 4.3-inch Corning® Gorilla® Glass touchscreen display, which could give you nothing but the best user experience. But what really makes the DROID BIONIC stand out over its competitors is its accessories pack. The device supports Motorola’s WebTop dock and could even connect to LapDock chassis. It also features a TI OMAP processor, which is proven to be one of the quicker and more efficient chip sets in all mobile devices and computer tablets alike.

An equipment guide revealed that Motorola's Droid Bionic is due to hit the stores on September 8.
A couple of leaks last Wednesday confirmed that the Motorola Droid Bionic will be arriving on September 8. The much anticipated Android leader showed up in the carrier’s Equipment Guide for the date. It doesn’t have any direct fill mentions, leading Droid-Life to hint that Verizon is deliberately keeping it out of pre-orders — possibly to build up the launch day lines.
A follow-up from the same site both reinforced the date as well as giving several of features that are still unannounced. Droid Bionic is believed to have an Android 2.3.4 and Google Talk video chat over 4G. And even with 4G and a dual-core processor, it is said that this device’ battery life could last 10.8 hours.Read the rest of the article »
Verizon has just unveiled the launching date for its Motorola Droid Bionic. The handset is targeting a September 8 release, with a price tag of $299.99.
Following series of delays, the company had finally scheduled an official launching date for the anticipated Motorola Droid Bionic. The 4G LTE handset will now be hitting the Web store on September 8 — almost eight months since being introduced at CES last January. The phone was actually expected to be released by spring, but it was postponed due to an issue made by the NVIDIA Tegra 2 to TI OMAP processor switching.
The Motorola Droid Bionic is said to be sporting a 4.3-inch, 540×960 pixel qHD display, with a 1GHz-dual core that acts as its processor. It also comes with a huge 512MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. The Droid Bionic could as well shoot videos in 1080p.
On the day of its launching, consumers will be entitled to grab a special package offering from Costco. The deal would include a car windscreen dock, a docking station, an extra battery, and a battery dock for only $200, with no additional charge.View Article Source »
