Hanvon Technology is ready to embrace the leaps and bounds of technology, as their Color E Ink reading device will be unveiled in this year's FPD International trade show in Japan. But what about Amazon?

Hanvon Technology is expected to unveil the fist Color E Ink reading device at the FPD International 2010 in Japan on November 10. The still un-named device sports a 9.6-inch Color E Ink display, Wi-Fi, and 3G connectivity. The Hanvon device is set to hit the market on March 2011, anchoring a price tag of $440. To this very day, E Ink technology has been solely in high-contrast against black and white. And with iPad’s growing popularity, it seems that others will need to adopt the new technology. Otherwise, they will become obsolete.

Amazon has been clinging to E Ink since it was unveiled, and while the company has plans to create one eventually, the colored Kindle is still far in horizon. Let’s just hope that the E Ink technology stirred conversation inside their headquarters. With Color E Ink out in the wild, colored e-readers are definitely here to stay.
