This is so unfair! EA will offer exclusive weapons for those gamers who pre-ordered Battlefield 3.
In EA’s recent announcement of Battlefield 3, the shooter game of the year is heating up with its exclusive pre-order bonuses. The DLC offers exclusive guns, like Type 88, for those who pre-order the game. Thos who do not, will not have access to the weapons at all. Hence it is no wonder that 94% of EA’s members dislike the idea of the pre-order bonus.
The whole idea brought in so much controversy, that a small retaliation started in the community. If you are one of those who think that this move is unfair, voice your comments down here and EA might just listen.View Article Source »
"Should Xbox 360 hardware sales begin to drop off dramatically in Q4, or early in 2012 Microsoft will likely announce launch of a new system at E3 next year." --- Billy Pidgeon, M2 Research analyst
EA has refuted the reports that they are in possession of the Xbox 720 hardware. However, M2 Research analyst – Billy Pidgeon – said that announcing a Xbox 360 successor in 2012 is not out of the question.
IndustryGamers were also told that developers were permitted to see the features of the Xbox 720, which improves the current Xbox 360’s capabilities, including speedier and enhanced Kinect interface that boosts device responsiveness. Last week, an unknown source informed respected games industry publication – Develop – that “Microsoft is rushing to make an [Xbox 720] announcement at E3″ in a bid to steal Nintendo’s thunder.”Read the rest of the article »
Looks like Mass Effect players will be killing some alien machinations some other time.
EA development studio, BioWare, has announced that the next and final installation of the Mass Effect franchise – Mass Effect 3 – will no longer see the light of a 2011 day. Instead, the action RPG hit is now set to be released on the first quarter of 2012.
The delay could be a good thing though, as experience tells gamers that BioWare isn’t particularly good when it comes to rushed sequels, i.e. Dragon Age II. Mass Effect 3’s 2012 release will also mean the game would avoid going head-to-head with big games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Uncharted 3 for the 2011 holiday releases.Read the rest of the article »
It looks like THQ's "UFC: Undisputed" is no longer alone when it comes to fight simulation games. EA Sports' "MMA" just got a share of the spotlight, as its playable demo for PS3 and XBox 360 hit shelves yesterday.
EA Sports released last Tuesday the first playable demo of “MMA” in PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. The game enables players to control fighters from all over the world, beginning from Fedor Emelianenko to Randy Couture to Shinya Aoki. It also features fights taking place in a ring or in a cage. In addition to that, EA Sports’ “MMA” features four characters: Alistair Overeem, Bobby Lashley, Jake Shields and Jason Miller. Gamers can opt in to Fight Now mode or the MMA Tutorial 101, wherein they can control either Shields or Miller. And if they share the demo to their friends online, they can unlock a Randy Couture classic version!
The final release will make the worlds collide as it hit glasses on October 19 this year. So, who wants to be “Mayhem” this time?View Article Source »
