Apple, Offering Discounted iMac Models for Schools

Apple launches its iMac products priced at $999 for education sectors.
Recently, Apple has quietly released a new version of iMac for educational institutions, targeting colleges and universities. The device, which is a slimmed-down 21.5″ model, will be available for a retail price of $999 — discounted from the original pricing of $1199.
Although the product’s price seems to be very economical, the education-only iMac still includes some features that will surely grab the institutions’ attention. The model will be sporting a 3.1Ghz Intel Core i3 dual-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 250GB hard disk. It will also run on the latest Mac OS X Lion operating system.
