NVIDIA launches a brand new pro graphics solution and HP is first to integrate the technology to its computer. Its EliteBook now proudly bears a Quadro 5000M GPU inside.

World’s forerunner shipper of personal computers found itself ahead of the pack once again. When NVIDIA released Quadro 5000M, HP was first to stand in line. The company pumps up its EliteBook 8740w with this new creation of the world’s visual technology leader – a professional graphics fix for multimedia enthusiasts.

Other features to expect from HP’s 17-inch darling are:

  • an integration of 320 CUDA cores and a large 2GB memory to the party
  • inclusion of the latest DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.1 compatibility
  • a bulk of pro-friendly computational enhancements

Dell is said to be following suit in pumping up its device with a 5000M, but HP, with its $3,000-plus “elite’ machine, will be the only available option for now.
