Toshiba’s Excite Tablet, Seen in IFA Booth

Toshiba's much more improved tablet called Excite was seen at the IFA show.
Toshiba’s much improved tablet, Excite, made an appearance at the IFA show ahead of time. Even though staffs were closely watching it, the said Android slate was clearly seen at the Toshiba booth before the expo started.
Excite appears to use mostly a stock version of Android 3, and has the mini HDMI, microSD and microUSB support that was leaked out previously. Other details said that it is one of the few Android 3 tablets outside of the HTC Jetstream to use something other than a Tegra 2 chip — if these details are accurate. Toshiba might use a dual-core, 1.5GHz TI OMAP4460 chip that could make it one of the fastest tablets in the field. Front and rear cameras are known, but support for 3G or 4G isn’t.
The Excite promises to reverse an additional error Toshiba made with the Thrive and should ship much closer to its unveiling date, most likely within a few weeks.
