Mark your calendars, because this October, Blizzard will be answering some of our toughest questions like: "When is Diablo III coming out already?!"
Mark your calendars and get your gears in check, because Blizzard has already announced that the BlizzCon 2011 is coming back to the Anaheim Convention Center this October 21 to October 22. What can we expect this year other than the usual panel discussions, tournaments, freebies, and collectibles? Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam's Operation Hastings map has been unleashed without Xbox 360 and PS3 players completing the required 69 million team actions. Is it a fail on the developer's part?
Despite the community challenge which required players to hit a total 69 million team actions (resupply, revive, heal, repair or spot teammates) under one platform, DICE has unlocked the fifth and final map of the Battlefield Vietnam expansion, Operation Hastings for the console players. Reports state that the sudden change of plans was DICE’s idea to “start this new year with a big of a bang as we ended it.”
PC gamers were able to reach the 69 million team action mark in a matter of days, while console players showed a little disinterest as they were only able to stack up to 34 and 46 million actions in the same time frame. This may be a move to spark a little more interest towards the console gamers.
Operation Hastings was available for download last December 18, 2010 for the PC and December 21, 2010 fo Xbox and PS3 players.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam is a first-person shooter, action game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Dwell in the lands of Vietnam as you fight your way through another war where failure is not an option.
