Apple, Collaborating with Fairfield University for Apple Bookstore?

Recent evidence points to a possible partnership between Apple Retail and Fairfield University, marking the second university bookstore to gain an official Apple Store.
The ifoAppleStore reports that the president of Fairfield University in Connecticut announced its plans for a new bookstore last week. Moreover, the institution also noted that they are “in discussions with an industry leading computer retailer to have a presence in the bookstore.” Though no name was explicitly given, Apple is a most likely candidate. The said bookstore will move from its current on-campus location to a former Boarders Book venue in the city’s downtown.
The speculation between Apple and Fairfield’s partnership started after the company’s plans to collaborate with Yale University for an in-campus Apple Store emerged. Meanwhile, the University of Delaware Board of Trustees stated last May that their new bookstore would include an Apple store. However, further details remained scarce.
After reaching its 10-year mark, Apple’s retail division may be looking to team up on education sales to make further inroads to the market. According to an analyst, the sale of Macs versus Windows PC among students is now 4 to 1.
