Get Your Free Bumper Through An App

So Apple decided that the case for iPhone 4’s reception troubles can be solved with a case – a free one at that, if you have not purchased your case yet. You get a full refund for being earnest in purchasing one earlier.

The processing for free cases and bumpers started last week, all through an app that was specifically created by Apple for this purpose.

Gizmodo’s Brian Barrett lets you in on the steps you need to know to bump your iPhone’s antenna problems away:

1. Download the iPhone 4 Case Program from the App Store.
2. Launch the app on your iPhone 4 and sign in using your iTunes Store account or Apple ID.
3. Select your bumper or case.

For iPhone 4 purchases made before July 23, 2010, you must apply no later than August 22, 2010; otherwise, you must apply within 30 days of your iPhone 4 purchase. To qualify for this program, you must purchase your iPhone 4 by September 30, 2010.

The only available color for the case is black, so that is what you are going to get if you are qualified to avail of the free bumper program. Wait for 3-5 weeks for your prized free stuff from Apple, and when it happens, you may finally say: case closed.
