iPad and Tablet Market Will Boost Tech Revenue

The Customer Electronics Association, a technology advocacy group, predicted that iPad and tablet market will raise the tech revenue to $190 billion.

The Consumer Electronics Association said on Monday that Apple’s iPad and the rest of the tablet market will definitely boost the entire whole home technology industry by 60%.

Originally, the CEA predicted a 3.5 percent yearly increase in 2011. However they’re now convinced that tablets would push the growth to 5.6% or $190 billion. Tthe spike would be $4 billion more than they thought, and would see more than 7% or $14 billion of the industry’s revenue coming from tablets alone.

Sony Releases a Second Teaser Video for S1 and S2 Tablets

Two weeks after Sony released their first 'Two will' video, the "Going Smoothly" flick for S1 and S2 is out.

After releasing the first video dubbed “First Impression” two weeks ago, Sony released the second in its series of ‘Two Will’ five teaser videos for their upcoming Android-powered tablets.

The new video is called “Going Smoothly,” and it features the two tablets communicating through a native e-mail app. The S1 tablet have a 9.4-inch touchscreen and Tegra 2 processor, while the S2 features a folding design and two 5.5 inch screens — which goes along virtual PlayStation buttons. Both tablets will have access to Sony’s Qriocity and video service and support DLNA media streaming.

When the fifth and the final video is released, the tablets might be ready for launch. Based on the gap between the first two videos, it is predicted that the tablets will be release in mid-August.
