Meet the Disaster Search-and-Rescue Robots

Written on March 14, 2011 by Adam Eve

After a devastating event hit Japan last week, the country still proved that they can survive with the help of search-and-rescue robots.

After an 8.8 magnitude earthquake followed by a tsunami hit Japan last Friday, modern technology is helping the country to track survivors and hasten the rescue operations as much as possible.

And though tools that can detect incoming earthquake is still impossible to come, Japan’s talent for robotics increases the country’s abilities to cope to natural disasters. Hopefully, these advances from Japan – and California, to the lesser extent – can lessen the destructions of earthquakes in the future.

Chocobo’s Crystal Tower and Knights of the Crystals on Facebook

Written on November 03, 2010 by GADG

A Free Online RPG game directly play into your Facebook account. Square Enix release 2 new game from Facebook "Chocobo's Crystal Tower" and "Knights of the Crystals".

When I was a kid I use to played several RPG games from Squaresoft (Square Enix), one of my favorite character through the whole Final Fantasy Series game was the Chocobos. Chocobo is a big yellow bird which used as a transport vehicle like a horse in the game series of Final Fantasy (if you recall the game Chocobo’s Dungeon 1 and 2). Square Enix has release Chocobo’s Crystal Tower yesterday on Facebook. The game is in beta test where you breed Chocobos, feed them, equip an item, fight some monster and go on an adventure quest. Its an interesting game which I think it will hit on all Chocobo fans.

Also in the release of “Chocobo’s Crystal Tower” another Facebook game that Square Enix release it is called “Knights of the Crystals”, an a RPG game like Final Fantasy Series which do the usual routine to level up the characters and fight the monsters. Try both games for free and see if it worth the time to play this on Facebook.

ATI Radeon HD 6870 and 6850’s Worth

Written on October 22, 2010 by Adam Eve

AMD's Radeon HD 6870 and HD 6850 graphics cards are here, but they might not be what you expect. Read and check out the sites who already got their hands on the new graphics cards.

AMD’s Radeon HD 6870 and 6850 are here, but albeit they sound as if they can do better than the lauded Radeon HD 5870 and 5850, they are not really what they seem. For only $180, you can already have Radeon HD 6850 that sports 960 stream processor, 775MHz core clock, 1GB DDR5, 1GHz at effective rate. While you can have the Radeon 6870 at $240 which features 1120 stream processor, and 900/1,050MHz clocks.

A collection of reviews put them a bit behind the finest, and states that they can keep up with the rest. Some papers say that they can run better than their predecessors, but a card full of ports is probably not fit for your next HTPC.

If you want a full review, you can hit up the links after the skip.
