Apple: Removing Some Software and Peripherals from Retail Stores

Oh no! Apple is cutting some software and peripherals from their retail store. But why?
The Loop reports that Apple is planning to cut a couple of software titles and peripherals from its retail stores. The Cupertino-based company aims to free up some space, accommodating the Personal Setup service for Mac that was launched last January.
Among the products that will no longer be displayed are printers, scanners and some hard drives. However, this peripherals will still be stocked in the stores and will be available for purchase. In addition to this, Apple is also getting rid of 32 game titles, in favor of the Mac App Store. Apple is looking to eventually discontinue all boxed software sales from its retail stores for the Mac App Store, the upcoming changes seems to be their first step.
