It’s amazing how Internet has evolved from a military project to a world wide phenomenon. And yes kids, there was a time when there was no internet. Consider yourselves lucky that doing homework, research, shopping, dating, and Family Guy episode viewing can be done with a couple of keyboard actions and a click of a mouse. Although it does have its downsides as we’ve been introduced to the horrors of Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black.

Although the history of the internet can fill up an entire book as long as one of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings book, the Grasshopper Group managed to concoct a short and sweet infographic to somehow explain the chronology of the technology even for people with the shortest of short term attention span when it comes to reading.

Mobile gaming has definitely stormed its way into the video game industry. With the uprise of devices ranging from smartphones and tablets, mobile gaming has spanned beyond your typical gaming console and even beyond your typical hardcore gamer. In a recent analysis by mobile marketing and analysis firm Flurry, the mobile gaming market shows that mobile gamers are most likely younger, wealthier, more educated and most likely to be a female compared to the entire U.S. population.

Square Enix Unfolds the Jump Festa Line-Up

Square Enix shared an exciting information to gamers through the launch of the site Jump Festa. The website shared the line-up of games for the upcoming Jump Festa 2011 event.

Square Enix opened up its Jump Festa 2011 special site today. The site provides gamers with a glimpse on what to expect from the year-end game event that it usually organizes.

The site’s title list includes playable The 3rd Birthday, SaGa 3, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, Dragon Quest Monsters Wanted and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 Professional.

Square Enix will also provide the music, goods and shops at the event. Plus, Square Enix lived up with tradition as they hand out Christmas cards to the guests featuring artworks of the upcoming titles.

However, the site didn’t mention high profile titles like Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII. These titles received short trailers at last year’s Jump event but their presence in this year’s event is still unknown.

Jump will be under the production of Shueisha on the 18th and 19th at the Makuhari Messe convention center just outside of Tokyo. This event is open to the general public.
