Technology has enabled greater levels of communication than ever. The Google Translate for Android features a conversation mode that allow users to communicate to one another in their native tongues via the app.

Though different languages hindered the way people communicate, technology enabled international connections. People were able to utilize online text translators that are available for free. But there’s more to it than that. The next big step in a live translation of spoken language from one person to another. Yesterday, Google released a new version of Google Translate for Android. It features a conversation mode that allows users to speak in their native tongue while communicating to a foreigner. Although it’s not like Babel Fish in your ear yet, the new Google Translate for Android is doing a significant step in that direction.
