Call of Duty: Black Ops Declared Top Game for 2010

Call of Duty: Black Ops dominated the top spot of NPD Group's annual list of top video games.

Good news Black Ops! The NPD Group unveiled the ranking of bestsellers and our favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops got the top spot. This epic was followed by Madden NFL 11 and as second and third placers.

Here are the top 10 of 2010:

Is Dreamworks Coming Up with a Halo Movie?

Hollywood has done it before, making movies out of video games. But what about if this happens to Halo: Reach? Yeah right, that's a different story. 

The incomparable success of the has urged people from to conceptualize a film. It is an old knowledge that many filmmakers are trying to bring : Reach into the silverscreen. There were rumors that directors like Steven Spielberg and Neil Blomkamp are interested with the concept.

Dreamworks is treading a new path that were not done before by Universal and Fox. The film company is looking at novels adapted from Halo. This is entirely different which raises the hope of many Halo fans. However, it is still a long journey to make since no scriptwriter was appointed yet.

Big numbers have kept coming in after the first week since the release of Halo: Reach.

You might disagree guys, but there are other games profoundly influential as Halo. Sequels and spin-offs which generated billion dollars and gazillion man hours. Halo: Reach will never be the only exception.

Halo: Reach Causes Disc Read Error

Oh no! Halo: Reach is currently out of reach as it says "Disc Read Error." Have you called Microsoft customer support already?

Although had one of the most successful unveiling last week, the continues to make the gonfalons for awry reasons. According to some rnet forums, players are encountering disc read errors leaving gamers unfit to try their hand on the game. It’s currently vague what causes the flaw, but many report that older 360 consoles have trouble reading the game disc. It was also discovered last week that due to limited hard drive, the new 4GB 360s were unable to play the game’s online co-op mode. As told by a Microsoft representative, those affected should contact their customer support at 1-800-4MY- for troubleshooting assistance.

Halo: Reach is Born Supreme

Unless you object, Halo:Reach is the considered the biggest entertainment release for 2010. It reigned supreme against Iron Man 2 and Toy Story 3.

: Reach is doing well on sales and is not quite a surprise. Computer addicts put on top.

The recorder two hundred million dollars sale on the first day. Gamers was so amused with the that they are willing to spend money. In fact, it was not tagged as the biggest entertainment release of 2010; much bigger than Iron Man 2. Even Toy Story 3 was dethroned.

A total of 333,000 copies are sold and still counting more. It’s really interesting to see how the next Call of Duty (Black Ops) stands up to this. The supremacy of Halo: Reach is defined.

Halo: Reach remains undefeated unless a new Battletoads comes out this year.

One word to describe Xbox game Halo: Reach: Fantastic.

To summarize the detailed reviewed made by Erik Brudvig of ign.com, Halo: Reach met the high bar and its core components enabled Halo: Reach to compete well against other games.

Other elements that made Halo: Reach a fantastic package are its campaign, solid storytelling and excellent audio-visual experience. Also, the competitive multiplayer gives a familiar feel but is still equipped with new options and has faster pacing.
