People are asking: Is Android Honeycomb coming this February? If it is, then why are there rumors about Android 2.4 roaming around? Everything will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress next year.

Rumors has it that the next Google OS build, Honeycomb, will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress on February 2011. Furthermore, the Android 3.0 is not really the Honeycomb but Android 2.4 instead. Slated primarily for computer tablets, the Android 2.4 does not make sense if Google’s numbering system is to be considered.

Tablet manufacturers admitted that they will not release Android tablets until Honeycomb is launched. If that will be case, Android 3.0 makes better sense and the version 2.x number system will be locked for smartphone builds. Nevertheless, Gadg will keep you posted for more Honeycomb revelations.
