ASUS Ships Updated Intel 6 Motherboards

After Intel updated its Sandy Bridge family, ASUS immediately implemented the new design by massively replacing their affected products

In line to the overall recovery plan with Intel’s detection of Intel 6 series chipset design errors, ASUS immediately implemented extensive product replacement. ASUS is pleased to announced that updated Intel 6 series-based motherboards will start shipping next week. Customers who owns a potentially affected motherboards can visit the ASUS website for product replacement details and registration.

In addition to this, users can identify revised products by looking for the “New B3 Revision” label on the products and their packaging. The chipset can also be verified via onboard sticker, BIOS, ASUS SATA Verifier or the CPU-Z utility.
