Apple Releases iOS 4.0.1

Apple's iOS 4.0.1 lets you start with your iPhone in a clear slate. And it has a new formula of calculating signal strength.
Apple has released its iOS 4.0.1, a mobile operating system that brings single change to iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G. The iOS 4.0.1 improves the formula that determines how many bars of signal strength to display. According to a letter published by the company earlier this month, they’ve been using a wrong formula for calculating a signal strength. This software update also brings some minor changes to the signal bars themselves, making few of the lower bars to look slightly taller.
A full copy of the entire version 4.0.1 is available in iTunes. For iPhone 4, it’s a 579MB download. To download and update it, just connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac, then click “Check for Updates” in the device summary screen in iTunes.
