Apple’s iOS Integrates New Social Media Features for MobileMe

Apple's success with its iOS devices are undisputed but its continuous venture towards global domination isn't over yet for they are not yet on the lead when it comes to social media.

When the Beta 2 of the iOS 4.3 was released, people found a little evidence that Apple might be integrating some social features for its operating system. The first beta hinted an evidence of a “Find My Friends” features for MobileMe that offers a real-time location data sharing to friends. Meanwhile, the Beta 2, Mac and Apple tech site, 9to5Mac, pointed a few references that there are services such as “Media Stream” and “Photo Streaming”.

Find My iPhone App Goes Free

An application that will help anyone find the location of a lost and misplaced mobile phone was first released on MobileMe. An exclusive paid service that renders its services to iPhone users. Now, this app is FREE of charge. Happy ending, right?

Apple’s ‘Find My iPhone’ app that allows users to keep track of their iPhones whether lost or misplaced is now offered for free. Prior to this update, the app is limited to MobileMe subscribers. Now if you’re using iOS 4.2, this app is ready for anyone.

‘Find my iPhone’ allows its users to pinpoint their devices on a map in order to recover it. To date, it has been one of the most top billed MobileMe services. BlackBerry, Motorola and Windows Phone 7 each offer free apps to locate missing devices.

There are also other speculations that MobileMe will be free. That’s one of the biggest wish of iPhone users.

‘Find My iPhone app’ is now absolutely available on the App Store.

After the iOS 4.2 beta phenomenon, let’s all make way for the newest version. iOS 4.2 beta 3 for your iPhone and iPad just made it to Apple’s developer site. Though there are still no update on changes that it will do to your device, but it is still a new version. It just need a little courage to install it on your device or better yet, wait for more days to read the reviews.

With lesser bugs and fewer fixes, iOS 4.2 beta 2 is up for a round of applause.

Good news! iOS 4.2 beta 2 has finally arrived. Well, if you are a developer, you are very much welcome to download it at this very moment. We are hoping that the system would be less of a hassle. There are few fixes that you might to let Apple know.

According to a registered developer of Apple, the beta 2 is much less buggy than the old version. This information is something that we should be grateful about.
