iPad 2 is going to be bigger and better, or atleast that's what the rumors are leading to.
We’re pretty sure Apple fans are tingling with joy at the moment. Thanks to AppleInsider and MIC Gadget, the world now lays its eyes on these iPad 2 case photographs. Reported that the cases were probably manufactured in China, the iPad 2 case indicated that we may be having a tablet with a rear-facing camera, an SD card slot, and a mysterious opening at the top that is rumored to be a Mini DisplayPort.
Why do we need a Mini DisplayPort in the first place? AppleInsider states that the port might be used to “support full resolution monitor like the Apple 27-inch LED display” and would “enable iPad 2 to be used as a very high resolution external display by any Mac with mini DisplayPort output.”

With the high anticipation about the second-generation iPad, Apple aims to produce 6 million units every month. With additional manufacturers on the list, it seems that they are likely going to make it.
Apple believes that its anticipated iPad 2 will be more popular than the first model, as the Cupertino-based company is expected to order production of 6 million units every month. If rumors are to be believed, it would be significantly higher than the 4 million per quarter production of the current iPad. Overseas sources revealed that Apple added Chimei Innolux and Cando as additional panel makers for the second-gen iPad. These expanded number of partners will allow Apple to produce more iPad every month. Sources also indicated that suppliers will start shipments to the company by January or February of next year. They also pointed out that Apple has no intentions of producing a 7-inch iPad that is smaller and lighter than the current model.

Spotted! Two new cases claimed to be designed for Apple's iPad 2 suggests that the device will have a rear-facing camera, a SD card slot, and will be slimmer than the current iPad.
As spotted by iLounge, two new cases claimed to be designed for Apple’s iPad 2. Both cases show a rear-facing camera on the left side of the device, as well as a larger cutout on the bottom where the speakers exists on the first-generation iPad. The iPad 2 case from Shenzen MacTop Electronics suggests that the device will be slimmer than the current iPad. The one from Kodawarisan mentioned an SD card slot in its accompanying documentation, in addition to FaceTime. Does that mean that the large space where the speaker exists could also house a SD card slot?
The cases also show the same placements for the mute switch and headphone jack. However, no space is indicated for the rumored second 30-pin dock connector feature. One report this week claimed that Apple’s overseas manufacturing partner, Foxconn, plans to ship the iPad 2 within the next 100 days. It only means that Apple is getting ready and stocking up enough supplies for an April release.View Article Source »
