The Apple Retail Store is now packed with stationary iPads to aid customer support.

In celebration of Apple’s 10th retail store anniversary, the company has launched its Retail 2.0 last Sunday. The Retail 2.0 added stationary iPads placed next to other Apple products that display prices, information and features. In addition to this, the device can also be used to compare models and ask for help from a specialist.

The touchscreen tablets are said to be running on a custom software, since pressing its home button does nothing. The new in-house iPads were scheduled to be rolled out with Apple’s proprietary retail software — RetailMe.

"I have it on good authority that Apple will be announcing the iPad 2 in the next “3-4 weeks”, possibly Tuesday February 1st. The iPad 2 will feature a retina display and front/back cameras." ---Kevin Rose

Kevin Rose, one of the industry’s prominent blogger, claimed today that iPad 2 will be landing in “3-4 weeks” and will feature a Retina Display in addition to dual cameras.

“I have it on good authority that Apple will be announcing the iPad 2 in the next “3-4 weeks”, possibly Tuesday February 1st. The iPad 2 will feature a retina display and front/back cameras.”

Apple doing a double on pixels of the iPad would make the iPad 2 screen bigger. The previous pixel count is 1024 x 768; now it is 2048 x 1536, quite a big push. The resolution seems to be a bit too high for a 9.7 inch display.

Update: Rose updated his blog post to say it’s not a Retina Display but instead is higher resolution screen with more dots per inch (DPI).

An iPad stand and an external battery in one? How good is that? Sanho men are as good as that with two thumbs up. Today the HyperMac Stand for iPad is out in the market and is up for grabs.

What does it offer? Hmmm… a good iPad stand that tilts on 18 or 45 degrees angle even, with or without case, plus a built in 40watt rechargable lithium ion battery that will extend your iPad life into 16 full hours. This makes the product expensive, but worth it. It costs $129.95. but if you ask me, all is worth the money spent. Instead of having a separate stand and a HyperMac Battery.
