Samsung's sales injunction against Apple's iPhone 4s denied for the nth time.
The ongoing patent war between Samsung and Apple is still ongoing. This time, Apple seems to be winning. Samsung’s move to stop the iPhone 4s’ release in the Italian market has been denied by the country’s court. This just comes a month after France has similarly rejected their appeal to block the sales of newest iPhone model in their country.
So far, Apple has won in Australia and had the Samsung Galaxy Tab temporarily banned in the Oz market last year, although the Galaxy tab is now available in the market, following the High Court of Australia’s decision to reject their earlier plea. This can be compared to Samsung’s denied appeals in France and Italy. Samsung’s recent loss in the Italian court is hardly a surprise.View Article Source »

Rumor alert! Tim Cook will reveal the next-gen iPhone on October 4.
Based from an AllThingsD insider, Apple will reveal the iPhone 5 on October 4. Tim Cook will lead the show, together with Phillip W. Schiller (SVP for Worldwide Product Marketing), Scott Forstall (SVP for iOS Software), and Eddie Cue (SVP for Internet Software and Services.)
However, the devices that will be announced on October 4 remains a mystery. New iPods are most probably to be announced, while others also anticipates an iPad 3 announcement. But ultimately, many are getting excited on whether Apple will announce the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S or both. The iOS 5 is also expected to be officially released on the said date, as it’s already nearing its Gold Master version.
If the October 4 turns out to be true, that would mean an almost immediate roll out of the next-gen iPhone on October 15. But keep in mind that none of these has been officially confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt.View Article Source »
Another word from the Rumorville came out: No iPhone 5 this year according to a Chinese supplier.
Following a Chinese supplier’s claim that there will be no iPhone 5 this year, doubts were cast upon the possibility of Apple launching a next-generation handset this year. The Chinese supplier is the same provider of images of iPhone 4S components, which were sourced from Shenzen, China. The alleged iPhone 4S components – battery, camera, home button, dock connector assembly and display – are all available for purchase now, according to a report.
There has been much buzz about whether Apple’s next mobile device would be a slight upgrade to iPhone 4, or an all-new design with superior components. There are also speculations that the Cupertino-based company would launch two models in the iPhone range.
New York Times reported last week that an anonymous Apple employee promised that the next-generation iPhone would be “fairly different” from iPhone 4. However, he only mentioned one model. But contradictory to that was an evidence later reported by 9to5Mac. According to the latter’s source, Apple will be rolling out two new units — with one suffering from production delays.
The rumor mill is really heating up, as Apple is soon to have its great reveal day ahead of the holiday season.View Article Source »
Ming-Chi Kuo is sharing another reports which claims that the next-gen iPhone will be the iPhone 4S.
A new research note provided by MacRumors stated that analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, claimed that Apple is slated to send the golden master version of iOS 5 to its iPhone and iPod Touch hardware manufacturers from September 23 to September 30. This suggests the new hardware will be launched around mid-October. The report is in line with other buzz which suggests that Apple will debut the next iPhone around the middle of October.
More interestingly, Ming-Chi Kuo tells that he has seen no evidence of the rumored iPhone 5 in the supply chain. However, the analyst pointed out to the N94 iPhone — which has been popularly dubbed as a iPhone 4S. Ming-Chi Kuo said that it is the only iPhone model set to ship, with Apple planning for 30 million units until the end of the year.Read the rest of the article »
According to TiPb, Apple's iPhone will come in early October as a 'world phone'.
While Apple is yet to disclose the release of the next-generation iPhone, one tech blog – TiPb – predicted that the mobile device will have an early October launch. In addition to this, the next-gen iPhone – be it a completely revamped iPhone 5 or an iterative iPhone 4S – will come as a “world phone.”
That said, the rumored iPhone 5 will be compatible to both GSM and CDMA. It is also believed that the handset will have a SIM-less design, and up to three or four antennas. Still, it is suggested that the iPhone 5 will feature a SIM card slot for other countries — but not in the US. This would let users insert any SIM card in the device when travelling overseas. And these rumors appear to be in the horizon, as suggested by Apple’s recent patent filing.Read the rest of the article »
Apple is rumored to release three new devices this fall: The iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S, iPod Touch White, and iPad Pro.
While many refers to Apple’s next gen iPhone as iPhone 5, others indicated that it will have another name. In fact there are rumors that it’ll be iPhone 4S or iPhone 4Gs. In addition to this, the rumored iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S is said to be the biggest release of the fall. However, it seems that the coming season will bring much more than a new mobile phone.
The Cupertino-based company will allegedly launch three new devices this fall: The iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S, the iPod Touch White and the iPad Pro. The information comes from an anonymous resource person, who seems to have heard the news from Apple’s top distributor in China. The unnamed resource person leaked the information to iPhone5NewsBlog through an email, saying, “Heard from one of distributors today, they are quite confirmed that Apple will announce iPhone 4Gs, iPod Touch white, and iPad Pro next month. Take it as a reference. I think they should be reliable.”
However, the resource person admitted that it’s just a rumor. Hence, people must take this as a grain of salt. But if these rumors are proven to be true, then fall would be a full season for Apple.View Article Source »
